Shredding Event

Sunrise Side Lifelong Learning is hosting a document shredding event on Wednesday, August 15th.  The Shred Experts truck will be in the Nieman’s Parking Lot in Tawas City from 11AM-Noon.  You can watch as your documents are shredded on site.  This event is open to the public, so tell your neighbors.

Cost: $5 per copy paper size box (12”W x 18”L x 9”H)

Items that can be shredded: white paper, colored paper, file folders, staples & paper clips, checks and check registers, confidential mailings, income tax returns.

Items that cannot be shredded: hazardous materials, batteries, clothing, heavy metal objects such as metal plates, nuts & bolts, three ring binders, wood or glass, tools, lighters,

plastic bags, x-rays, prescription bottles.

Not recommended: newspapers, cash register receipts, hard bound books, magazines and catalogues, phone books.
